Bio

Hi my name is Viola Malone and I am a recent M.A. graduate from California State University Northridge.I recently relocated from sunny California to the Atlanta. I love water, writing, French fries, traveling and koalas. Now that that is out of the way on to business.

I have over 5 years experience in journalism. I’ve recently been a student mentee with the NPR Next Generation Radio Project where I created an audio story on a male baker in South Los Angeles. I contributed entertainment articles to Lee Bailey EURweb. I’ve previously worked for The Collegian at Fresno State as a reporter and editor of a college supplementary newspaper called the Uhuru Na Umoja. I previously interned at HIS Magazine in Fresno, California as assistant editor where I contributed ideas and helped execute editorial photoshoots and a fashion show called Springtini. I also have experience with recording, producing and editing video and audio for news packages.

I recently interned at KJLH radio station in programming, sales and promotion. I wrote entertainment show prep pieces, conducted research for new sales opportunities and partnerships and carried out the KJLH brand during people to people interaction with the street team. I’ve also worked with Nine27 Entertainment as a production assistant on set.

I am seeking employment that will allow me to be creative and use my skills as a journalist and writer. I hope to have my own publication company and radio station someday.

Feel free to contact me at Viola.Constance@ymail.com if you have any questions, comments, or opportunities for network and collaboration.
